Athletic Tutoring Program
Northshore High School has established a tutoring program for athletes in order to assist these students with academic needs and ACT Prep. Tutoring sessions are held every Thursday and Friday for one hour immediately after school. The sessions are as follows: ACT Prep, English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, and Computer/Research. Each session is conducted by a teacher who is certified in the area of instruction. Student/athletes are required to maintain at least a “C” average in core subjects. If the “C” average is not maintained, the student, on the recommendation of his/her teacher, is required to attend a two hour Saturday Study Hall. The student/athletes have responded well.
